Movie Review
I did My review on "The Christmas Story" This movie is a classic and every Christmas they play it on TBS for 24 hours straight.Ebert talks about how the movie revolves around being a little kid because in the movie they have bullys and bars of soap put in the mouth and how the little kid ralphie want a bebe gun and his parents tell him no because the famous phrase "You'll shouut your eye out".Its a comedy with real life situations. But the movie is so old that none of those kinds of things happen any more and no family really lives like that anymore.Ebert thought it was a good movie and i would have to agre with him i watch it every christmas and i love it

I have seen "The Christmas Movie" as well and I agree with you with it being a great film and it being very humorous. However, I must say that I believe that at least some people live like they did back in the early 80's when the movie came out. It's not like the movie took place back in the nineteenth century or something.
Hi Andrea,
I absolutely love that movie. It is a great comedy about things that seem to happen in real life everyday. There are still some families that live as they do today, but I do agree that families need to start living the way these people do. Families need to appreciate the love they have for eachother, have fun together, and also do family activities and talks. On another note, I have seen this movie at least thirty times or more. I will continuosly watch that movie over and over again, back to back, along with other great Christmas flicks. Everytime I see this movie I think about how my kids look everytime I take them out somewhere, when Ralphie is so bundled up in his warm winter gear he can not even movie. He is literally stiff as a board. I think that this is a great movie and I will continue to watch it every year. Good pick!!!
